1st Hole - Par 4

St. Andrews

322-354-362-372

Tribute Golf Club is a fitting monument to one of the most famous opening holes anywhere - the first hole at St. Andrews Golf Club, known worldwide as the birthplace of golf. This simple-looking hole fits perfectly in the philosophy of great Scottish links as it may look docile, but severely punishes golfers in a number of different ways. Despite the traditional caddie's warning that it's almost impossible to hit out-of-bounds off the tee, most golfers aim to the left as the first hole at St. Andrews shares a fairway with the 18th hole.

Also the famous Swilken Burn, a small stream originally used for storm drainage for the small town of St.Andrews, cuts in front of the green and has swallowed many balls over the more than five centuries of golfing on the links. The first tee at St.Andrews has seen almost every famous golfertee off their chance to walk in history's hallowed footprints.
